"A New Deal for the Palisades"
There will be an opening reception for a photographic and video exhibit curated by the staff of the Kearney House on Saturday, June 17, at 7 PM at the Fort Lee Museum (1588 Palisade Ave. Note: this is not Fort Lee Historic Park). The exhibit, which will be open on weekend afternoons through September 17, features images of the Park during the 1930s. The reception is free and open to all, with no advance registration required. "Father's Day Hike to Peanut Leap Cascade"
There will be a guided hike with Christina Fehre on Sunday, June 18, meeting 11 AM at State Line Lookout in Alpine (northbound PIP opposite Exit 3). This is an approx. 4 mi. hike in 2 hrs. over moderate trails with some slopes. This is a free program, open to all, with no advance registration required. The hike will be held "drizzle or shine" - hikers can call on the morning of the hike to confirm should weather conditions seem questionable: 201 768-1360 ext. 208. "Visitor's Day"
Greenbrook Sanctuary will be open to the general public to learn about its grounds and programs on Sunday, June 18, from 1 - 4 PM. The entrance to the Sanctuary is on U.S. Route 9W in Tenafly, about 1/2 mile south of the Tenafly-Alpine border.
