Next Weekend in the PIP:
"Peanut Leap Cascade"
There will be a history hike with Eric Nelsen on Saturday, April 1, meeting at 11 AM at State Line Lookout in Alpine (Northbound PIP opposite Exit 3, approx. 2 mi. north of Exit 2). This is an approx. 4 mi. hike in about 2 hrs. over moderate trails with some steep sections. This is a free program, open to all, with no advance registration required. The hike will be held "drizzle or shine"; if weather conditions seem questionable on the morning of the hike, hikers can call 201 768-1360 and enter extension 208 to confirm.
"Spring Cliffhanger Film Festival"
There will be a film history program with the Fort Lee Film Commission on Saturday, April 1, at 1 PM at the Visitor Center auditorium at Fort Lee Historic Park (Hudson Terrace immediately south of the George Washington Bridge). The featured film will be The Grapes of Wrath (1940). This is a free program, open to all, with no advance registration required. There will be film screenings on Thursday evenings in March, each at 8 PM at the Visitor Center auditorium at Fort Lee Historic Park (Hudson Terrace immediately south of the George Washington Bridge). These are free programs, open to all, with no advance registration required. Persons under 18 must be accompanied by an adult for "R" features.
