"State Line Hawk Watch"
"State Line Hawk Watch at State Line Lookout (northbound PIP opposite Exit 3 in Alpine) will be in operation every Saturday and Sunday from September 11 through November 27, weather permitting. Visitors may watch as observers count migrant raptors. Rain, snow, heavy cloud cover, or excessive heat will cancel for the day. Visitors should bring binoculars and sunscreen. Refreshments and restrooms are available at Lookout Inn, which also sells birding field guides. The Hawk Watch operates from 9 AM - 5 PM. Free.
